Debate in school

In my English class, I have to debate about the war against Iraq. There were two sides: those against the war and those for the war. Since there weren't enough people to debate against the war, I volunteered, even though I am for the war. Our teacher said to find information on why we're against or for the war. If I was for the war, I could probably have won against my opponent. But, since I'm for the war, I can't seem to find a lot of information to prove why the war shouldn't have been started. Sure, there are some obvious reasons, such as people get killed and property gets destroyed. But, I need coherent and specific information, and maybe some statistics and polls. So, I'm asking to please give me some information about why the war shouldn't have been started, or a website where they focus in on that topic (why the war shouldn't have been started). Thank you in advance, and all help is appreciated!...Epox

Date: 4/3/2003 4:53:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 61920    Well yeah. Some of the countries think that war shouldn't have been started. Well what about Saddam Hussein? He'd be making chemical weapons while we would just be sending more inspectors. We need the war. But, I don't get why they're saying that war is bad, besides the obvious reasons.

Date: 4/3/2003 4:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 31707    maybe do research about the UN Laws that President Bush broke when he attacked Iraq.
Date: 4/3/2003 4:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 31707    Another thing, is compare the War against Iraq to High School Bullies. you can make alot of references to that.

Date: 4/3/2003 5:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 59385    how about iraq's weapons of mass destruction they are trying for and the chemical weapons they already have!!
Date: 4/4/2003 4:45:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 61920    But wouldn't that be for the people that are supporting the war? I'm looking for information that proves that the War Againtst Iraq shouln't have been started.
Date: 4/4/2003 6:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 46068    I would suggest you do some research on the political sides of the war that most protesters are discussing. Like how the war is affecting the President's opinion polls, and thusly how it will improve his chances of reelection. Also there's many suggestions that oil/gas is a primary factor in the decision to attack Iraq, I'm sure there are places to research how the importing from Iraq was affected after Desert Storm. There are some sites that could help you too, like Antiwar.com and UnitedForPeace.org.
