I'd go for the leading role and if she has an issue of it I personally feel that she's just selfish and should be happy for you when/if you get it. |

if you want the leading role, go for it! i think it is wrong of your friend to say something like that too you. if she is a true friend, she will be happy for you if you get the part. acting is a tough job. my brother does theatre and what i have learned from him is you go for whatever role you want. sometimes you get the part you want and sometimes you don't. your friend should realize that as well. in acting, you can't always have the part you want. don't let your friend stand in the way of you being happy. go for it!!  |

Go for the leading role! My friend and I tried out for a play and she got a part in it. I didn't get a part at all! But I made it in crew (lol). Your friend should be HAPPY for you if you get the main part.  |

I think you should GO for what YOU want to do. And if she is upseat with you afterwards, what kind of a friend is that? I would go for the part.  And if you do get it, I hope she will be happy for you!  |

If you want to go out for the lead part then go for it! You and your friend should be supportive of each other and it doesn't sound like your friend is being supportive..it's as if she's not considering your feelings at all..what kind of friend acts like that? Whether or not you get the role..someone is gonna be disappointed but if you get the role your friend should be happy for you and if she gets it you should be happy for her..ya know? That's how friendship works.  |

it's not your fault if you are picked over her...the teachers want topick the BEST person for the Role... they want to pick the person who can do the role the best to it's abilities... you have to tell her you have no control over it... and you won't pass up something you really want to do over a threat... if you get it she should be happy |
