The lady shock her head yes, even though she couldn’t see since she was looking out the window. “Yea, that’s why most people do leave, that or they find what they are looking for and follow it.”
She pressed her hand against the glass, “I loved Michael I really did. I can’t even breath anymore since I left. Do you know what it’s like though when everyone knows what’s going on with him even you and you can’t deal? I knew he wasn’t true to me and honestly when I found out I wasn’t true to him. I love him though, and I didn’t want him to deal with this so I left.
My heart aches for him everyday. I tried calling a few times but I would get the answering machine and hang up. I didn’t want to leave a message saying where I was or anything. I was to afraid to, and I still am. I just wish he knew…” she paused for a moment pressing her hand against the glass.
“You should call him and let him know where you are and what’s going on. It’s the best way. Call your parents at least, let them know you are still alive, let them know their daughter is ok. They’ll forgive you for everything I am sure,” the other woman said placing her hand on her shoulder looking through the window.
“If only you understood. I left my family, my friends, my heart back there. I can’t go back. I can’t make any contact. I left for a reason, and that reason will keep me from there forever. I rather take this pain then that pain. I can start a new life. I have a place, and I will start working again soon. Till then I will find some means of support. I’m not ready for anything yet. Not anything like that,” her eyes focused on the window and a small smile came to her face.
“Not even for him,” the woman said looking out the window, “You wouldn’t do it even for him.”
Her smile fell and she shock her head, “Not today, not right now,” she walked away from the window and sat in one of the chairs in the hallway.
Maybe the woman was right. Maybe she needed to call someone. Let someone know where she had been for the past few months. It could be for the best.
