"They'll be BURNED into the sand and INCINERATED!" ~Mr. Sadistic Saddam Himself

Many of Saddam Hussein's quotes are bound to go down in history as desperate attempts to reclaim his authority. There were two quotes however, that struck a nerve with me. He stated that, "they will be burned into the sand" and "they will be incinerated." What intentions motivated these statements? Are these simple scare tactics provoked by our speculations of his chemical and nuclear capabilities? Is there any truth behind these threats? Does he intend to incinerate our troops and everyone in the area where he may be found?

The fact that Saddam would rather die than be held accountable for his actions is a no-brainer but how he plans on doing this is the question. Surely, he plans on going out with a BANG! One of his idols, Hitler is believed to have shot himself in the head prior to his arrest. Wouldn't this be too simple for Saddam though? He'd want to top that by taking everyone he could with him.

Many people believe that Hitler never killed himself and that he lived out the rest of his life, under an alias in another country. Is Saddam already plotting this by hinting to the media that he could be dead? Is Saddam already out of Iraq and sending our troops on a doomed mission, since he's assumed another identity elsewhere?

Pondering the possibilities of this may seem morbid but how else does one prepare for what a sadistic mind might do? I'm sure our Government Intelligence Agencies have most likely explored these options and more. Hopefully, they've taken every precaution possible while never underestimating the enemy.

The purpose of this post wasn't to alarm anyone but to emphasize the courage demanded by this war. Endless respect and honor are deserved by those risking their lives for innocence, venturing into unknown territory and taking a stand against popular opinion.

Date: 4/2/2003 9:01:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    Yes, that would be a wonderful thing.
Date: 4/2/2003 9:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 15070    You Choose- I think the VERY FIRST bomb killed him. I think he is dead. I hope we did kill him, in his own bed...yes, I am that evil. Wouldn't that be poetic justice?
Date: 4/2/2003 9:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 28767    i just hope everyone comes back safe too. And no one has to die a horible death. Thats what i fear the most. Considering the torture that sadam uses on other people. Peace Out..
Date: 4/2/2003 9:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 53836    I know I am dreadfully scared for our brave men and women overseas, because I think he's gonna try something big too. He's already ignoring all rules of war...which didn't suprise me...all we can do is pray. Pray for the confusion of Saddam and his troops and pray for our troops and allies to take a swift victory and come home safe.
Date: 4/2/2003 9:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 53836    LSG, I hope you are right...I've wondered why he hasn't shown his face and have thought the same thing...I do hope we are that lucky and the evil creepazoid (non-g-rated string od profanities) is rotting in hell where he belings and I hope we send the rest of his gutless, brainwashed terrors with him!!!!!!!!!!!
Date: 4/2/2003 9:10:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    LSG: You are far from evil, my dear. You 're just too honest because you admit to wishing for what everyone is right now. I agree totally. It would be wonderful if this post was totally unnecessary, due to Saddam already being dead! I hate to wish for the demise of anyone but this monster brought it upon himself. Thanks for your honest comment.
Date: 4/2/2003 9:11:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    KrazedSnowMonkie: Very true, thanks for your positive thoughts.
Date: 4/2/2003 9:13:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    SpaceCase: Awesomely put. I too have said quite a few prayers. Everyone feels so helpless here so all we can do is hope, wish and pray for the best possible outcome. Thanks for your comment.
Date: 4/2/2003 9:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 12341    He is a madman! I read an article today, not only him, but his sons also. They boast of their atrocities, one said that they had forced a man to drink gasoline and then shot him in the belly, while they watched him explode. Newsweek article. The war scares me, but the madness must end. For everyone. I've changed some thinking, that we must end such madness and take a stand to let these dictators and their regimes know that they will answer for their cruelty.
Date: 4/2/2003 9:36:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    ShadowGhost: I agree, I've wanted them to take him out since 91'! Thanks for your opinion.
Date: 4/2/2003 10:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 4231    This post is quite amazing actually, and truly interesting it raises many points..i whave wondered myself..
Date: 4/2/2003 10:15:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    Why thank you Josh.... I don't remember the last time any of my posts received such a nice compliment. I wondered how many others were wondering about this same issue. These possibilities are terrifying but necessary to question. Thanks again.
Date: 4/2/2003 10:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 3125    I read an article where Saddam said right after he was given the ultimatum to leave Iraq or face the consequences, "I will not go. If I go down, they will find a land with no people in it". Some says he meant that all the people would die fighting for him. Others say that he meant that before he goes down, he will use WMD and destroy everyone there. From the beginning, I believed Saddam was either killed or seriously injured. I now believe he was killed immediately or that he died later from the injuries. That last statement which the Information minister read that was suppose to be from Saddam was almost laughable. It was such a poor attempt to deceive the public. Saddam was suppose to have said.."Hit them..Fight them" and "Don't give them a chance UNTIL they leave." Saddam would have been much bolder and more arrogant than that. I believe that supposed statement was such an obvious fake. They know very well that if the public realizes that Saddam is gone, then the citizens would be more eager to rebel against their leaders.
Date: 4/2/2003 11:10:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    Rusure: Great points, I agree. I hope you are right, I hope he's already out of the way....permanently!
Date: 4/3/2003 2:22:00 AM  From Authorid: 46515    I just couldn't agree more. We have a very capable, ready for anything type of miliary. Good post!
Date: 4/3/2003 2:23:00 AM  From Authorid: 46515    *military*
Date: 4/3/2003 5:50:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    Thanks TigerMonkey.
Date: 4/3/2003 6:04:00 AM  From Authorid: 13886    I don't think Saddam escaped from Iraq and assumed another identity. There's no mistaking who he is...
Date: 4/3/2003 6:42:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    I hope that scenario is the correct one too. It would be wonderful if our troops could find him, his sons and the Regime all huddled in some bunker and ready to surrender. It doesn't hurt to be optomistic, since we're helpless from where we're sitting anyway. Thanks for your comment.
Date: 4/3/2003 8:06:00 AM  From Authorid: 61941    THis is an eye opener
Date: 4/3/2003 8:21:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    USMC: Thank you for your comment. It's a compliment coming from a Marine.
Date: 4/3/2003 9:38:00 AM  From Authorid: 53284    Doesn't much seem to matter what he says anymore. The army is on the outskirts of Bagdad. His soldiers are shedding their uniforms and just leaving the area. Once you have seen the coalition army in action, you know you don't stand a chance. Some of his thugs will stand until the end but a lot of his soldiers will just fade into the landscape.
Date: 4/3/2003 10:02:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    WildBob, I can't wait for that either. We've lost enough human lives on this piece of garbage monster Saddam and his Regime.
Date: 4/3/2003 10:07:00 AM  From Authorid: 30051    I try not to think this way..It scares me.
Date: 4/3/2003 10:29:00 AM  From Authorid: 13729    I think when he says they will be incinerated he believes the Wrath of God, of Alla, will decimate them for him.......And I do believe he will live out his years in "exile" in a beautiful location......Some country will take him in......
Date: 4/3/2003 2:35:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    CoryAnn: Yes, it is scary. We just pray for the best.
Date: 4/3/2003 2:38:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    Ritzbe: I hope you're right and that these are meaningless threats. I also agree, he'll never pay for his actions.

Date: 4/4/2003 7:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 26227    I hope that he is dead, but someone is controling the Iraqi troops. I believe that something big is going to happen real soon. I really dont know if he is alive. Today I was watching the news and they showed all the Saddam pictures since the war started, none I thought looked the same.
Date: 4/6/2003 12:30:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    HalfBaked: Thanks for your comment. You're not alone, many of us are feeling scared about what's to come.
