Geraldo Rivera................~SpaceCase

  Author:  53836  Category:(Conspiracy) Created:(4/2/2003 8:20:00 PM)

Recently, on Fox's live coverage of the Iraqi Freedom war, Geraldo Rivera shared a diagram of the war situation, by drawing out a map in the sand. (I saw this...I want to say it was early, early Monday morning.) He marked key points and showed us strategic moves the US military was about to make. When I watched it, I wondered if the busy troops working behind him would like him giving out such information and once again thought about how I think the media can be a bad thing in this war...those mouthy, news-hungry journalists aren't very discreet and this was a prime example. But with Geraldo, who was exiled from the country for the duration of the war, due to his stupidity, I tend to think there is more to it.

I began watching his coverage last year when we were in Afghanastan. On numerous occasions, I asked myself which side he was on. Due to off-colored comments supporting the Muslims and Israelis, I felt he didn't even understand the mission our troops were sent on. So when I saw him drawing out our plans in the sand, I felt that he intended for that information to get out to the other side. I am glad the weasel is coming back to the US. I hope he gets a less than warm reception!!

How it changed my life:

just lost a lil' bit more respect for the weasel!

Date: 4/2/2003 8:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 15070    I cannot say on a "g"-rated site. how I feel about Geraldo.....He has caused problems before, running his mouth. He is willing to join any cause, to get his face on t.v., or his name in the paper. I actually read his "bio" 10 years ago. It made me sick.....he shouldn't even HAVE a carrier.....that is my opinion.
Date: 4/2/2003 8:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 48712    let's gang up on him and beat him up

Date: 4/2/2003 9:04:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53836    LMBO, look out, LSG is on a rampage!!! Let's stone him :O
Date: 4/2/2003 9:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 15070    LOL...maybe we should turn him loose at MacDill Airbase (where Homeland Security is) & let our Men & Women in uniform administer their punishment! LOL.....
Date: 4/2/2003 9:15:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53836    LMBO, yea...they could use him for target practice...but I wouldn't mind if they shoved a big ol' pineapple up his......well, you know, everyday for the rest of his life...
Date: 4/2/2003 9:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 15070    ~Space Case~, I would be so angry if someone were hurt, or killed, bcause Geraldo gave away to much information.
Date: 4/2/2003 9:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 15070    Gee..~Space Case~, Lil' Nicky? Or Southpark-The Movie? LOL!!!!!
Date: 4/2/2003 9:21:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53836    Lil' Nicky all the way...I really liked that form of punishment, LOL...I am glad they kicked him out of Iraq, too bad they didn't attatch him to one of our "smart bombs"...they'd know what to do LMBO!!

Date: 4/2/2003 9:25:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53836    I know what you mean LSG...I am sure there are strict guidelines for the journalists to follow when relaying info concerning our troops...I don't mind not knowing minute by minute what's next, ya know...the after-effect is good enough for me. It didn't suprise me one bit when they sent his butt packin'!!
Date: 4/2/2003 9:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 12341    He is a puppet. Even if I get blasted, he's an over aged a-hole who marches to whatever tune is popular. Each of us want Saddam disarmed, taken out of dictatorship for humanity sake alone, BUT to place our troops in peril for the mission they are CALLED for is extreme. I personally wish for this war to be swift,(although I doubt that now) I do realize that we must send a message that terrorists and their kind with be dwelt with. Loss of civilian life on either side is my greatest concern, but human atrocities and dictators who allow and encourage carnage like Saddam's regime must be stopped. Sometimes we just have to say no more and take a stand.
Date: 4/2/2003 9:36:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53836    I know what you mean by the human loss...I cringe when I hear about the innocents in the line of fire...this whole war has me on pins and needles...I hate it, but if it helps to bring peace to such a large group of mistreated, sheltered people, than in the end, I guess it was worth it...I always try to remember that when one of theirs or ours die, they are off to a better place than this anyways. Thanks for stopping by Shadow, it sure is nice to see you around!!
Date: 4/2/2003 10:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 28190    He just sickens me, plain and simple. This isnt the first time he has gotten in trouble... I remember vaguely an incident where he said he was captured by the enemy and beaten ( or something to that effect) and had everyone believing it, and when it came out that it wasnt true, I lost all respect for him then. Why they would even let him back on national tv is beyond me..
Date: 4/3/2003 5:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 24673    I was shocked to see him on Fox News in the first place. It was like, did he change colors or something. But, alas, a skunk can't change his spots. Glad they got him off the air.
Date: 4/3/2003 5:58:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53836    right Garbage, I thought the same thing when I first saw him back on Fox!!
Date: 4/3/2003 6:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 2030    If ever there was a time for someone to get whacked by "friendly fire"..............
Date: 4/3/2003 6:24:00 AM  From Authorid: 58308    i know... what an IDIOT!!!
Date: 4/3/2003 6:33:00 AM  From Authorid: 15228    I can't stand him! I always turn him off as soon as he comes on. He talks and talks and never really says anything.
Date: 4/3/2003 6:42:00 AM  From Authorid: 44321    I have never really like Geraldo, especially since that time he got busted in the face with a chair on his talk show.
Date: 4/3/2003 7:56:00 AM  From Authorid: 27950    I agree with all the posts, but it has not been just him with showing or telling key information. I logged on to MSN and there blasting me in the face was USA not prepared for Bio Warfare. Do they think that cells that are here cannot read english? There have been other instances as well.
Sometimes the media needs a muzzle.

Date: 4/3/2003 8:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 31368    Here, here. You do not accidentally give away information that risks lives around you. He was in a very tense situation and the thought of what, giving away to much, can do is always on their mind. It has to be if you value your own life. I agree with you. Why would you give information like that knowing that Sadam's troops are watching? Because you're not worried about losing your own life. ***Shelly***
Date: 4/3/2003 9:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 21294    I too wonder whose side he is on. It is sad how far the press will go to be the Top Reporter. I think he shoud be fired and sent home immediately. With people like him supposedly on our side, who needs the enemy. DreamWalker
Date: 4/3/2003 10:40:00 AM  From Authorid: 13729    I think they should leave Geraldo in Iraq and send him ahead of the troops....to "check" for land mines........
Date: 4/3/2003 10:44:00 AM  From Authorid: 15228    LOL Ritzbe. They could use him to check for chemical weapons (HEY! Where's my gas mask?!!)
Date: 4/3/2003 12:12:00 PM  From Authorid: 62023    Such a shame that Geraldo may have caused a lot of damage. Not only with the security of the troops, but to the responsible journalists who are very careful and use their common sense not to give away sensitive information. I've seen reports from the "imbedded" reporters and for the most part, they have been using good judgement on what to say and when to shutup. Geraldo is an opportunist, not a journalist, and will do anything to make himself look like some sort of brave hero. The real heroes are the ones in uniform protecting his butt while he runs his mouth.
Date: 4/3/2003 4:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 57404    I can't stand him either! I have never liked him, everytime I saw him, he made me sick to my stomach. You know how sometimes you just see someone, and you immediatly get a bad feeling about them? Well he is one of those people. lol
I agree, he will do anything he feels is needed at the cost of others just to get what he wants. I think we should beat him up. LOL I think he would look AWESOME in a body cast!! LOL *twitch*
As for what he has done on the news about this war.. I didn't see that, but I'm sure even if I did see him come onto the television, I would have changed chanels. lol I heard one reporter say, that they are breifed as to what they can and can not say, and what they say has to be okayed by the commander or whatever of that troop. Dunno if it is true or not. lol I would like to think so, so that our troops are not put into more danger.
God Bless

Date: 4/5/2003 9:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 62102    I say that someone should put him in that empty Mafia vault that he unveiled on his show
Date: 4/6/2003 8:50:00 AM  From Authorid: 28363    uhh, Geraldo, here's your pink slip
Date: 4/6/2003 9:53:00 AM  From Authorid: 27950    lol, all the hype and all that was in the vault was an empty bottle.....

Date: 4/10/2003 9:22:00 AM  From Authorid: 28946    Maybe Charles Manson did a good thing, to Geraldo then.
Date: 5/7/2003 10:27:00 PM  From Authorid: 54987    I like Geraldo Rivera. Did you know he does excellent sand paintings? He learned his art from the Navajo.
