Cornered in Catastrophe

There's a corner of the room
where many sit to think,
of forgotten souls lost,
and old time memories.

The corner's dark and grey,
stains blot the wall
mostly of booze and blood,
before the sudden fall.

Poets, Dreamers, Killers,
have all held this place,
before they understood,
life isn't always so great.

So different on the outside,
but inside its all the same.
There they waited desperatly,
for the one who never came.
