Okay USM, I ask a favor of you. A very good friend of mine is undergoing Chemotherapy today. His name is Mike, and he is truly a great person, This is his second battle with cancer, He beat the first, and was well on his way to recovery, when he was diagnosed again. This time it is worse and he needs all the positives he can get. I could spend hours telling you what a good person he is, but you will just have to take my word.

What I want to do, is have all those that want to, to reply in the comments section with some positive thoughts. I do not want this to be a pity or sympathy card. He is very motivated spiritually, and is a Nez Perce, so please, uplifting comments.

I will print this out and give it to him in order to lift his spirits.

USM is full of caring people, Lets show a stranger that we care.

Thank you

Bishop

night anyway. I am sure all will be fine. God Bless...

Date: 4/2/2003 12:36:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5858    All the world is a mystery,
a gift, unwrapped as you go,
and all of life is an adventure,
cherish it while you may,
a fresh bloomed flower,
a child's innocent smile,
all things to make your day,
the smell of baking bread,
on a cold and wintry night,
the setting sun, the waning moon,
the feeling that all is right,
the love of family,
friends of the heart,
hold these moments close,
remember all the special things,
and never let them go,
a rainbows fading kiss,
an angel made of snow,
a simple cup of cocoa,
beside a toasty fire,
all this and more,
I wish for you , my friend,
all your hearts desire.

Date: 4/2/2003 3:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hello Mike The grass on the levee is waist-high already and the soft cane stands way over the head of a tall man. The surf is muddy now, but it will soon clear and the seatrout will run at first light. All my days, I've wanted to spear one of those big harbor porpoises, drag it up on the beach and render the fat. They all think that I'm crazy, but I know it would be a fun thing to do. Only one, no more than that. Half-inch tall mosquitos, short and stubby cottonmouths and bad-tempered bull sharks. A little glimpse of south Texas in April. For a friend of a friend. Spring is a time for new beginings. Our eyes have covered the same ground, now. I wish you well
Date: 4/2/2003 8:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 48712    hope he gets better soon man
Date: 4/2/2003 8:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 15070    Hello, Mike.....power & strength be yours. Remember, "you wll hear the wind, call your name, and your heart will soar" Chief Dan George (1974).

There are many cancer survivors here, (myself included). During chemo-allow your mind to travel, to the place in which you are the most happy, and remember, this too, shall pass.....Many Blessings

Date: 4/2/2003 9:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 47699    Hey, Mike! I've had cancer, too, and I know that it isn't any fun at all but you can beat it just like I did. I think it has a lot to do with attitude. Rather than looking at it like it was the end of the world, I saw it as more of a minor inconvenience. I was determined to get past it so that I could get on with my life and that's just what I did. Never give up and never give in. The world is yours. All you have to do is grab it and run with it. Take care, buddy, and get well soon.

My grandpa had lung cancer 25 years ago but he managed to beat it. He lived until 1999. That goes to prove it you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything.
