Part 5 only took 3 years, but hey, better late than never right?

**2 weeks later**

Tracie lay in bed wondering what to do. Jim Richards had been missing for 2 weeks now and there was no sign of him. The envelope he had given her had been tucked safely away in their attic and remained there, unopened. Everyone kept pretending that they thought Jim must have fallen in love and run off, but anyone who knew Jim, knew better. Larry Richards, Jim's cocky half-wit nephew was running the show now that Jim was gone. Lucas nudged her and said, "Honey, you haven't been sleeping. What's going on with you?" Tracie just pulled the covers tighter around her shoulders. "I'm fine. Go to sleep." He sighed and turned his back to her.

The next day at work the police came in. Just a few questions they told her. "Did Mr. Richards say anything to you? Did he give you anything? What was your relationship with Mr. Richards? Has he contacted you?" Only a hundred questions to confuse her even more, but she was a loyal person and kept her promise to Jim and told no one. She wasn't much of a liar and wasn't sure if they believed her.

Tracie stood in front of her mailbox that evening and pulled out the daily stack of letters. She quickly flipped through each one, but stopped suddenly and just stared at one of the envelopes. "What do you think she's doing?" Detective Hartke asked his partner Slidell. They watched from their car parked a few houses down as she opened the letter and seemed to be reading it. Suddenly she collapsed in front of the mailbox. The detectives jumped out of the car and ran over to the unconscious woman. On the ground next to her was a letter and Hartke at a quick glance only noticed the scrawled signature of Jim Richards at the bottom.
