Date: 3/24/2003 5:20:00 PM From Authorid: 37101 Drinking lots of fluids helps. Warm fluids will sooth the throat. Hot tea with honey in it has always helped me. What might help most of all is a visit to the doctor! - |
Date: 3/24/2003 5:24:00 PM From Authorid: 57723 hot tea plus a docter |
Date: 3/24/2003 5:24:00 PM From Authorid: 16845 gargle with salt water and listerine...not at the same time though LOL If it's been going on for almost a week I'd go to the doc personally |
Date: 3/24/2003 5:42:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 31048 Thanks for the advice guys...the only thing is, I can't stand tea! It's like drinking a liquid plant >. I'm not a big fan of salt water either, but I'll do it if I have to. And I'll definitely try the Listerine. Does it have to be Listerine, though? Cause my mom is cheap and we only have the Equate brand, LOL. |
Date: 3/24/2003 5:45:00 PM From Authorid: 37101 Well Blondie, the good news is... The honey will sweeten up the tea and make it drinkable. I don't like tea either, personally. - |
Date: 3/24/2003 5:46:00 PM From Authorid: 33517 I agree with Becky...Try the salt/water...and the listerine....I also have a throat problem...And I will be doing the salt/water thing....I would rather do that, then use the listerine.. ..Listerine burns my mouth...**Big Canadian Hugs** |

Date: 3/24/2003 6:13:00 PM From Authorid: 24924 Whenever you brush your teeth, be sure to scrub/brush your tongue as well; gargle with listerine afterwards; then follow up with saltwater, as warm as you can stand it. A few days of this regime should do the trick. |
Date: 3/24/2003 6:19:00 PM From Authorid: 15997 I hear vitamin c can help a sore throat |
Date: 3/24/2003 6:41:00 PM From Authorid: 11097 I would say if it hurts really bad, go to the doc and see if there is an infection, because if that is left untreated you can get very sick. Im the type that wont go until I am very sick...please dont do that, lol! Cough drops with honey are very good, tea and honey, otc meds...I hope you feel better! *hugs* xox Che- |
