Sorry you feel you need to do this Frank. As long as there is a war that involves our military, I will write and share what I feel is interesting, knowledgeable or important about it, lest our men and women in uniform who put their lives on the line for us everyday so that we may exercise the freedom to live in a free country be forgotten at this time of dire straits. That, is my opinion in a nutshell.  |

i READ lots of them, but usually dont comment as anything i say would be wrong. So I just ead them. I think I commented a few weeks ago before this thing started full blast. And I'm not going to comment here about my views on it either. Part of me feels one way, the other part another way. So, I'm just staying out of it. |

I understand what you are saying...and it pays to also bear in mind that it is also probably hurtful for people who are not in favour of this War to be called ignorant, foolish, morons, idiots, blind, stupid, ridiculous, hypocrites, traitors, nonsensical, cowards, yellow and all manner of other terms I have seen Pro-War USMers through out at those against the War. Frank..There is at least two sides to every story with many people telling their side from their veiwpoint. Even though I am firm in my stand, I must understand that those who oppose my viewpoint is just as strong in their stand and they have every right to state their side whether or not it is in opposition to mine. If I find that I do not like nor can I understand where another person is coming from, then I either ask for a deeper explanation in hopes that I will understand where they are coming from, or I simply walk away. I believe that when a person learns to accept another person's different viewpoint, and allows others to express their differences without judging them as being ignorant, foolish, morons, idiots, blind, stupid, or inflammatory, then we have learned a much needed lesson. We just cannot expect everyone to see things our way in any matter. This is one of the major reasons why I like USM..We all can express our differences in opinions without fear of being put down for our opinions, in most cases. We must learn that we cannot expect others to agree with us. When we come to truly accept that, then we have grown another inch on life's measuring stick. If we refuse to look at things from all perspectives, then we are the one who's holding ourselves back from learning such a beautiful thing in life. This world is made up of many people and many seeing things from a different perspective. ((hugs)) to you  |

Well personally I think there is nothing more patriotic than exercising our rights to speak out with a voice. NO MATTER the opinion expressed it is VERY American/Patriotic to speak an opinion in the USA!!! I kinda agree with you. Right now Im getting tired of reading all about the war and peoples views on it. Ive had CNN on since it started so I really dont want to hear about it here. It really dont matter what your veiw is now the war has started now we have to finish it.  |

I think what has happened here is that people for the war and people against it feel so strongly ,that it gets heated and things are said in anger that should not be said,name calling etc.. I have my opinons that I have just kept to myself around here and that is how I prefer to keep it.I know I should pipe right up and say what I want ,but I will admit it has gotten ugly,I read the posts.Why do we have to insult to get an opinon across that differs from another's ? I am not saying everyone does it,just that I have seen enough already to keep my typing fingers zipped  |
