Well I don't at all agree with the comments they made. But I will say this, I am proud to live in a country where we have freedom of speech. There are many countries where they would've been executed for saying such a thing. Just like they have a right to say what they want, the people that listen to their music have a right to decide whether or not they want to continue buying and listening to their music. Personally, I really don't care what their opinions are. The thing that irritated me the most about it, is that they didn't have enough guts to say this in their own country.  |

I am disgraceful,i spent 4 years in the US military to ensure that I, you and any other americans had the right to agree or disagree with our government or exercise any other of our rights that are protected, right now I am exercising a right i put my life on the line to be able to have, while cowards like you sat at home on your couches stuffing yourself full of potato chips and watching football. I volunteer atleast 30 hours a week to my community, and last year paid taxes on the 80 grand i made in wages. you on the other hand have been enjoying the freedoms myself and others have put our lives on the line to protect for you, which is fine, thats why we did military service, but then turn around and say i am a disgrace.....you don't even have a job to help pay for this war, your welching off the rest of us. Truth be told, you shouldn't even have an opinion. you want to talk about disgracefull take a long hard look in the mirror. the saddest thing about all you pro war people is you say how it needs to be done and what a great cause it is .....and yes some casulties are expected, but, when your asked to put up or shut up you basically say.... well its worth others(people already in the military) dieing for, but its not important enough for me to risk my life for. |

I don't consider no going "bailing" on them, because well, we're just talking about a band that plays music here, it's not like they're family that I'm turning my back on, ya know? We all have differences in opinion about the whole war thing, and I would never let those differences come between me and my friends or family (I think people can disagree w/o it becoming personal) And the idea here is not to boycott the Chicks or "hit them in the pocket" because that's not realistic. What about everyone that was sooooo embarrassed by the actions of Bill Clinton? I don't hear them being boycotted for their crude jokes. ok that tall dixie chick is still pretty hot*, but the lil "pixie" chick lead singer pulled a Jane Fonda, and is speaking against when we need support. do i think Bush Inc. is doing a good job? No- no dice~, but when our peeps are out there laying it on the line, i got bush's back and everyone else's who are doing the fighting, while we sit back and surf the net, munch out, etc. Maybe the lead singer and anna Nicole can have a show together next season..  |
