In The Name Of Love


I have a new vision
Of what I am.
I can no longer
Call every breath
That I take
My own.

I can no longer
Take steps on my own.

I have taken the
Freedom of risk
In chance of me
Being its only sacrifice
And buried it.

I am no longer all that matters.

I have given the freedom

My thoughts are still my own,
But my intentions are shared.

But has inspiration has changed.
Self sacrifice and martyrdom
Are no longer options.

Basement cries and
Emotional death,
Are no longer my only burden.

Not only I am sacrificing,
I am giving as well.

I am giving the strength
To walk faster,
As there is now two of us.
I am now offering the
Wisdom of two!
I am now offering
The light of life,
As opposed to the
Darkness of vision alone.

I am now offering
Work that has been
Proofread over and over.
I am now offering
The best I could give her,
Not just the best
That I could do.

I now have someone
That I care about.
I now have someone
To think about.

Being selfish
Is no longer
An option.

All of this
Given in
The name of love.
