Skinned Tom

Now I don't know if this urban legend is true, but it's an interesting read. It's a story based out of a semi-rural area in East Tennessee.

Tom was a very handsome man with good looks. He loved the ladies, and had dated most of the single girls in his town. He started seeing a girl from the next town. She had failed to tell him that she was married. They dated for some time, and word finally got around to her husband. This angered him very intensely. He wanted revenge for the unfaithfullness of his wife, so he he sat and thought of a good plot for his payback. The man told his wife that he had to go out of town for the weekend. Instead of going out of town like he had said he waited in the woods behind his house to spy on his wife. Tom showed up to take the lady out on a date just like the furious husband thought. He followed Tom and his wife to "Lover's Lane". The couple parked and things were getting steamy when all of a sudden the car door was jerked open. The wife panicked, screaming that the man was her husband, and Tom was face to face with a very angry man holding a hunting knife in his hand. Then, he pulled his wife off of Tom and stabbed her one good time in the stomach and tossed her aside. He turned to Tom, who was frightend, and was just staring at him with a smirky grin on his face. Tom was scared out of his mind. He began begging and pleading not to hurt him and swore up and down that he didn't know she was married, but the husband who was wronged could care less and wouldn't listen to Tom. The husband grabbed Tom and drug him out of the car where he skinned him alive with the hunting knife. He then went into town and turned himself in at the police station. When the police finally reached the crime scene they discovered that the woman was somehow still alive, but Tom was nowhere to be seen or found. People say that he still hangs around "Lover's Lane" waiting to find some couple and teach them a "lesson" that his girlfriend's husband taught him. He has been described as a bloody skeleton wearing clothes from the 1920's and carries the same knife that was used to skin him with.
