Hope in my Heart

I am more than imagined
not just a shooting star,
but an intense flash
of something so right.
This time my hands
can grasp on to it
without losing my grip.
I bandage up my scars
in time to face the day.
The world offers more,
as do my dreams.
Its no longer impossible
to see through the dark.
I am alive this time
the cold burdens none,
but I understand now,
that things will get hard.
No longer afraid,
and no longer shall I run.
With hope in my heart,
I will always get by.
