Sounds like an awful day. I'm sorry. I had something like that to me. I was working at my second job and I was barely learning how the register worked. The person that was teaching left to go do something and the customers card woudldn't work. I asked for help from another worker and she didn't hear me. The customers started to yell at me and the other worker. I was almost in tears. Then the other customer, she didn't like how I folded her clothes, it had to be PERFECT she said. She yelled at me and I almost cried. After all the customers where gone from my line.I logged off the computer, ran into the break room and was about to leave. I hate being on the register! And I dont get why some customers have to be so rude ya know? So I try to stay way from registers...grr |

you'll get the hang of it... if the card doesn't go through after a few swipes grab a plastic bag put the card in the plastic and swipe it that way(through the plastic) it helps i donno why but it works |

...my wife has worked cash for years and she never (I repeat, NEVER) has any shortage of horror stories to relate to me after she gets home. This is the kind of job where you almost feel like there's a target painted on you somewhere but you can't see it...only the customers can. |

HAHAH try this i work at petsmart and I was cashiering. They showed me how to registar for an hour and left me hanging there. I had to call the manager every 5 minutes to have them show me soemthing. Ok imagine this.....Old lady buying $500 worth of cat food. Forgets her VISA in the car. And she also cant find her cat she brought with and two great danes taking a poop on the floor in front of the registar. And all this happnd in an hour. And i'm not gona dare mention the incident with hte pigs. Peace out.. LOL...And this is true! lol |

I have had days like those.. *shakes head* Sometimes.. you get those really rude customers, and other customers that treat you like you are a 3 year old.. drives me insane. P.S. you have to ignore the customers, they dont know how much their attitudes affect us, but you just have to be like...crap on them.. believe me, after a year and a half... thats the best thing to do. dont quit on me now...you'll get throught it and become pro...lol hang in there! |
