God is no dictator, but he must be totalitarian, though. Imagine if chairman Mao Tse Tung gave everybody an icecream cone. Thats the kind of king he is. I'm sure he would be offended if he thought you meant this. Do not offend God, thanks.  |

helpful bill dictator is not an evil word. It has become evil in the modern era but there have been many dictators throughout history that have been good and just. I am not offending god by saying this because it is an observation rather than a derogatory attack on the christian god. Wether you like it or not god has never been voted in by the people and has ruled through a reign of terror which was brought about the early catholic church. Old style catholicism still reigns supreme in many places and this sort of thing is true.  |

There are major differences: humans can be removed from power, God cannot; humans must have willing [or unwilling] followers to remain in power, God doesn't; humans deprive those under them to enrich their own lives, God doesn't; humans desire to be dictators to be as God, God already is. Interesting post.  |
