should I drop chemistry?

I'm getting 30% right now in chem. I calculated that even if I get very high grades from now on my final would still only be about 72%. so I pretty much messed up the course. But If I drop chemistry now in grade 11, I could take it next year in grade 12 and try to be prepared by then. And even if I don't take chem. I can still get in the faculty of arts in university, but not most of faculty of science without chemistry. but I would probably take chemistry next year, but I just want some advice on rather I should drop it now and take it next year or not..cause I'm bombing it so bad right now. why not take it next year and get a good grade rather than stickin through the course and just get a 60%.

Date: 3/3/2003 4:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 28363    if you want to go into computers, either hardware or software, then you will not need chemistry. It all depends on what you want to do for aliving after you finish your education.
Date: 3/3/2003 4:28:00 PM  From Authorid: 16115    If you plan on taking it in grade 12, I would stick with it. You might get a really good mark next year since you've gone over all of the material before.
Date: 3/3/2003 4:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    if you drop it will you have enough credits?? can you pick up a class?? remember you can't take chem 12 if you don't have chem 11 do you think you'll need chem 11 sometimes with school scheduling you might not be able to take chem 11 and 12 in the same school year.. the grade thing is an issue.. GPA is an issue and is important in grade 12 for transfering to another school...check out the courses you want to take you don't want to take a course up at hte college what you could have gotten for FREE in high school...
Date: 3/3/2003 9:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 52489    I faced a similar dilemma in college, and elected to drop the course. It literally saved my life, as I was able to concentrate on other classes and ace them! A year later I retook the course, was better prepared for it, and did pretty well. --Arion1
Date: 3/5/2003 1:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 55059    Does your school have a Physics class? If so, would it count the same as Chemestry? My school did, and whoever didnt want to take Chemestry took Physics instead. Maybe you could also talk to the teacher and ask if there is anything you can do to raise your grade...extra credit and so forth. Maybe suggest doing a mini-research paper on something chemestry related? Good Luck on your final decision. *MooChickMoo*
Date: 3/5/2003 3:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 36757    i'm not exactuly sure waht to tell u becuase i haven't taken it yet. i have to take it next year or i have to take some other class... i know my brother took it and he dropped in the 2nd sem. if i were you, i would drop it and pick it up next year, but i'm not always the greatest at advice. i'd say ask your counselor and see what he/she says. *snowmoony06*
Date: 3/5/2003 10:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 25483    Ah, who needs chemistry? Live da hippy way! Sing and play banjo on the streets and lead da happy life! LOL! No seriously though, nobody can come up with an answer better than you can, only you know what you want to do with your life.
I'll just stick with my banjo
Peace.
