For Ryan - R.I.P.

this is a poem i had written for my friend that shot himself while he was home alone. its a long story but to make it short....he had a deep case of depression....something so horrible that nooone could get him out of it or any where relatively close to it...anyways...here it is...

For Ryan

The things you used to say
Were always more than I thought,
Your thoughts of wisdom
I thought could not be stopped.

The "nothingness of Ryan"
was more than you know,
But now you are in heaven
Kneeling at the throne.

Your life was so short
And ended so quick,
You meant so much to many of us
You didn't know it, but you did.

Computerized Bible in hand
sitting up in church,
But still I had no clue
How much you hurt.

Alot of tears were shed
At that certain house tonight,
Because a few hours ago
You took your own life.

I wish it were a dream
So I could get out of this place,
And wake up right now
And see your face.

But it's not that simple
Knowing you're gone,
I just hope you know now
That you were loved all along.

I asked god "Why?"
But I'll still never know,
Why you wanted so badly
All your pain to show.

You were so quiet
So smart and so sweet,
We should have named you
"Ryan Crumpton, the Great"

This is for Ryan
And for all to see,
And to let him know
That he was a GREAT friend to me.

(Ryan Crumpton was a person who didnt like to talk but everytime he did it was so amazing the words he would say. they were words that would make you think ...words what didnt make sense at the time but later on it made perfect and complete sense. he is still missed and will be missed for a long time. but through his death many of us were able to witness to others so that they could come to know the Lord as their Savior. Satan got the life...but Jesus has Ryans soul...and many others through this tragedy......it just goes to show you, God can make wonderful things happen, through the toughest of situations...) -thank you!
