I think it might be hard to explain it to some kids, especially since we don't know what's really going on. I think a lot of people (not on this site) are going about their daily business just like nothing is going on. Sometimes I think it is hard for a lot of the odler people to accept and that would make it hard for them to explain it to children. And a lot of us are going through the same thing, children or not. It's scary, it really is. I really do think a lot of people are trying to ignore it though. I'm 16, I'm still a kid. It scares me a lot especially my best friend/boy friend is joining the military soon. Idk, I'm sorry, my toughts are jumbles. Just basically, you're right, kids need to know it is okay and they need to know before, during, and after everything. I just think that as of right now it is hard for some people to just start talking to their kids about it. Idk, lol, I'm sorry, I'll try to explain better later when I'm more awake. Hopefully you got something out of this. Anyways, I agree with you. ![]() |

listen i'm 37, and i'm scared to.. i have 4 kids one who is not really ols enough to know what is going on, the other is in first grade, she knows somewhat what our country is doing...she knows that there was bad people who crashed planes into the 2 big buildings, and that now we are going to fight for the lives that were lost that day...the other 2 kids which are 17, 15, well they know what kinda of world that we live in,to tell you the truth i'm more scared then they are, how do you tell a first grader whats going on? i guess it depends on the age of a child. i know at my two older kids school they inform them of the events of whats going on,they watched that day in school of the sept 11,they watched footage of the planes flying into those buildings they knew at their age, that people were killed and when thet said it was an act of terrorist, they knew what that meant also, so i guess trying to tell a child about war would be hard..but it depends on the age, dont get me wrong telling any child any age is hard but we do try to help see things the way they are Dawn ![]() |
