Ok I have really dark almost black hair, and I decided to frost my hair. It turned out ok, now I have NEVER colored my hair or anything like this before. So I know VERY LITTLE about it, well anywhoooo I got it frosted and it looks ok but I think I like my dark hair better. So my question is can I color my hair back since I just did the frosting this past Thrusday. Is there a time limit I need to wait or what? I really would be grateful for you help on this matter.

Thank You to all that responded..Hugs :)

Date: 3/2/2003 11:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 46527    I presume by frosting you mean that you have lightened certain parts (sorry, being a Brit the terms often confuse me), I don't see any reason why you couldn;t dye them darker again if that is the case. The coloured parts may be a little dry and brittle due to being overprocesed in this way but a good dollop of conditioner each time you wash should help....
Date: 3/2/2003 11:40:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 47930    LSR first thank you for your help.. my hair is REAL thin so it looks like it is almost all my hair. If I pull up the back of my hair you can see the dark a little but the rest of my hair is blondish. I just dont think I can live with it for 3 to 4 months cause thats how long its suppose to last ughhhhh I just dont want to mess it up anymore and come out with BURNT ORANGE LOL hair if you know what I mean.
Date: 3/2/2003 11:52:00 AM  From Authorid: 46527    Most dyes are designed to work on even the whitest blonde hair and not turn orange, I think if you are prepared to spend a little extra and get a good one you'll be ok.

Date: 3/6/2003 10:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 56176    just make shure that you dont go darker, then your real shade, get you one of them dyes that wash out in a few shampoo's until you find a shade the you like, then use a perament color, you can go 1 or 2 shades lighter or darker to look good, but try the ones that wash out, because, where you bleached your hair recently, the color pigaments have ben striped out of your hair and if you use a perment dye,the dye will look darker on the hair that was bleached, ive dyed my hair ,bleached my hair all my life, and if you are really scared go to a beauty shop, and they can tell you, what to use onyour hair, good luck
