How do you play 'light as a feather, stiff as a board'?

I've heared different ways to play it but can someone give me the way that they played it and it worked? I've heared about people just chanting 'light as a feather, stiff as a board' and lifting and I've heared about telling a story by the person at the head of the person lying down and then chanting and lifting. If you could give me the way you played it that'd be great. Also, I was wondering if you have to (or it is a good idea to) do the game in a circle of white candles. Thanks.

Date: 2/25/2003 8:00:00 AM  From Authorid: 59751    A long time ago, when I played it with friends, we had the person lie down on the ground, and there would be at least 6 other people. (One at the head, one at the feet and two on each side).
Each person would put their fingers/hands under the person lying on the ground. The person at the head would say a story about how the person in the ground died. Once the story comes to the explanation on the death, they then say, light as a feather, stiff as a board.
We did this many times and I can recall only ONE time that it worked. It freaked me out that it acutally worked that I never did it again.
It was a very long time ago that we did it, so honestly I can't say that it really worked...it could have just been my imagination.

Date: 2/25/2003 7:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 57222    Some people say different things.. mostly they "float" in thin air or something...
Date: 2/26/2003 11:31:00 AM  From Authorid: 60792    its all about concentration and using your full potential. another cool trick is have a person sit in a chair and 4 other peeps hold their hands palm to palm (their own hands) in a gun position and 2 people put their hands under a armpit and two people put their hands under the knee and you try to lift. Then starting with the one on the right knee puts either right or left hand above the person sitting and everyone follows with their right hand but never touching each other. when it comes to the person on the left knee they put their right hand then their left hand still not touching and it follows in reverse. after you have done this try lifting the person in the chair again like you did before. They should feel much lighter

Date: 3/7/2003 10:27:00 PM  From Authorid: 12266    If you try this I don't think i would use candles, it would be too dangerous, you never know when a fire will start and get out of control. Keep us posted will ya'?
