dreading the dance....

there is a school dance coming up soon...beleive me i am really nervous. It all happened at the last dance i went to. one of my best friends danced with this kid that i like even though she never liked him but he liked her( we r not really friends anymore because she has to prove that she can have any man and everyone else realizes it too) and she knew i liked him...that really hurt. then when my best best best friend went up to him to ask him to dance with me he said "id never dance with her" and she was like "I GOT LINDSEY TO DANCE WITH YOU omg shes like the most popular girl in school and u said u would do anything if i got her to dance with you" and he said "no". then his friend came up to me when i was with all these people and said jared will dance with you and then he said YEA RIGHT! I am more popular then him,im nice,not snobby, and hes really unpopular but i saw past that and iked him. then lindsey danced with jared twice..really close. I started crying. i cant beleive she did that to me...she always has to prove that everyone likes her. we havent really been good friends since that. now at this dance he is dancing with another one of my friends who likes him ( o well at least she likes him) and im not sure if he'll dance with me...i dont want another episode of that to happen. i dont like him as much as i did before..but i would like to dance with him.. i already aranged who im dancing with....any advice. ( i know i will cry when people dnace with jared) the only reason people like him is because they see that someone popular excepts him and they wont be made fun of for liking him and they can compete with me.
