And then you feel
The emotion in the back of your throat
It's welling now
Like an unstoppable flood
You have no other choice but to
Open yourself wide
And let it pour out of you

To block what images, what thoughts
Fill you with more than interest, more than -
More than emotion in itself
Like some heady drink that ever flows
Into you
And out of you
And maybe you discover that in the end
You are it
No turning back, connected with
Something unfathomable
Intangible, above and beyond
Human comprehension
You feel
You feel like you touched the stars
Held them in your hand and breathed on them
Like the air is no longer silent but full of possibilities
A coming, a belonging, a communion
Mountains ahead but a universe behind, flying
