Date: 1/28/2003 10:40:00 PM From Authorid: 16845 hey if they sell new dvd's for cheaper than say media play then I'm all for it! LOL! it's so close to me as well hehe...as for renting we use hollywood never had a bad experience |
Date: 1/28/2003 10:48:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53909 Becky, they do sell pretty cheap dvds and tapes which is pretty cool. Especially when they're previewed already. |
Date: 1/28/2003 10:55:00 PM From Authorid: 56410 I think its fine that Blockbuster does that. Its giving more business to Hollywood, and the littler guys out there. However, Blockbuster may not be getting as much money as it had with rentals, if they want to do it, then they can do it. Its not a monopoly...Now this rumour about Window Palladium.. THATS a monopoly. |
Date: 1/28/2003 11:07:00 PM From Authorid: 53052 so your saying blockbuster is no longer going to be a video rental store.. it will be a video purchasing store... i don't think it would survive personally... no one is going to pay 20 bux for something they have yet to watch personally...the reason why they are usually soo cheap is becuase they sell off the second hand ones at half the price as new.. and if they no longer rent them out... they no longer have second hand ones to sell....me personally i'm not a fan of the larger chains(like blockbuster) the BF works for a video store also but it's a smaller store what is known in the town for being around a LONG LONG TIME(over 12 years now!!) and having the best selection and tons of indepentant/forgin flicks what is great... he can take all the ones before they go on the shelf as well... and has no limits on how much he can take a week(the only restrictions are that they cannot be new..within 10 days of being put on the shelf and he cannot take more then a couple at once usually) |
Date: 1/29/2003 From Authorid: 39258 I HATE BLOCKBUSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Date: 1/29/2003 12:15:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53909 Yea, I really dont think that they would surive that way, if they decided to sell instead of renting. |
Date: 1/29/2003 12:30:00 AM From Authorid: 23948 What?? I really don't think they should do this. How would they survive? Plus, where I live there is no Hollywood rentals or whatever it's called.... and blockbuster has the cheapest rentals around and the best selection. I like blockbuster personally. I don't think they should make this change and they probably won't once they realize that they're not gonna survive out there... that's what I think |
Date: 1/29/2003 4:48:00 AM From Authorid: 54968 Where am I gonna rent my movies at? |
Date: 1/29/2003 6:27:00 AM From Authorid: 3538 Hollywood Video rocks! |
Date: 1/29/2003 10:39:00 PM From Authorid: 53052 honestly i really don't see them surviving on just sales alone...because they get most their money from rentals and the sales of previously viewed vids(i know the sell the new copies but they don't sell nearly as well and the rentals and previously viewed) |
Date: 2/15/2003 8:00:00 PM From Authorid: 47930 I havent heard anything about this, but I rent from Hollywood. But I would buy some from there if they are going to sell them cheaper.. |
Date: 7/4/2004 7:51:00 PM From Authorid: 7574 Oh...I like Blockbuster..Booger chunks. |
Date: 7/4/2004 8:34:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53909 I forgot that I wrote this post...lol My brother still works at blockbuster and he says that this change isn't going to happen which is a good thing |
