"carrots...anyone?"....kronk

A ragged man..did spring the latch and

cast inquiring eyes at our carrot patch.

"Good for bunnies..good for mice,

a couple of carrots, sure would be nice."


My Poppa, he seen him and he loosed the dog.

"Go on boy, sic'em. Get that carrot hog."

With a handful of carrots, the man made a break.

He ran through the tomatoes and pulled up a stake.


Rover was gaining..set to bring the man down.

He'll hang on till Christmas..He's a bad, old hound.

A whistle from Poppa..the hound pulled up short.

"Awwww, what's a few carrots. Gotta have a heart."
