Well, the reason I havent read any within the last month is because I have been too busy. I'm not on USM as much I use to be (even though I do stop by every day). Normally...what draws me to reading a poety post (or any post for that matter), is the title. If I find the title insteresting, I'll read it. Simple as that  |

I usually go for titles, I guess. Of course, that doesn't always work cause sometimes the titles mean very little to anyone but the author. Sooooooo, I tend to buzz around and check out poems at random. Of course, ifin I knows ya, I'll probably stop in to say hello..lol..Lots of folks don't read poetry. Personally, I think it is a fabulous form of expression. Good question..  |

I think I have to agree with Snow Princess, I don't always understand poetry either. But there are certain authors that I enjoy reading. Sometimes I have to be in the mood for poetry too. We do have some very talented poets here though  |

I usually just read poems by authors that I like, and/or that I'm friends with. But some titles catch my attention, and that stirs up enough curiosity to read it. Depends on how bored I am. Somedays I don't read any poetry when I'm here, and sometimes I read every poem on the main page.  |

I am not much of a poetry reader but here and there if a title really catches my eye I will check it out. I also tend to read it when something big happens that inspires people things such as 9-11 or some other senseless act that brings peoples emotions to a boil or when something happens here on USM that inspires people such as the passing of Karen this past week or the passing of Pinky a while back. ...  |

I've noticed that, and being one who writes them, I am happy when I see more than one reply!! lol. I think sometimes people dont really know what to say to a poem... I usually look for interesting titles, or if I've read a good poem by someone, I'm more likely to go back and read something by that certain author. ~hugz~  |

I usually will read the ones that have no responses, catchy titles, or are by people I know. Most people don't start replying to poetry until they've posted their first poem. I used to never look at the poetry section but now that I've posted a few I feel like it's my obligation to reply to others as well  |
