I dont know if some people remember Dale Icelodge who passed on some time back. Bless his heart. I loved his poetry and thought this poem should be dedicated to Karen. I remember this poem. Its called ...

The Desired Epitaph

By L. Dale Icenogle

To be remembered as some one who never said no

To a friend or a stranger when the winds of needs blow,

Who would reach for a child that extended a hand,

Who would listen to sorrow and then understand,

Who never questions or judge another mans load.

Without thought of payment of what he was owed

To carry a brother's burden they no longer could no longer bare,

With never a question as to what was their share,

With respect for the old with eyes growing dim

With love in their heart, who in faith turned to him?

When remembered as such what more could one ask?

But strength in his heart to shoulder the task.

And as for pay, if respect, nothing more

Is all the harvest you've been sowing for

Some where there's a sunset where someday you'll stand

And there you'll gaze over to a much better land

You'll need not look back or need even to care

To a place better off because you'd there

This is dedicated to Karen because even though i didn't know her too well i had conversations with her. She was awesome. Since God needed to call her back home, see you in heaven soon!!!! Death is merely a begining.

PEACE OUT>........

Monkie
