when you do fall asleep, say it's like, I dunno, 6 am like you said...don't sleep until like 3 or 4 in the afternoon (like I do) wake up about 12 or 1 o'clock and fight to stay awake all day...then at night you should be able to fall right to sleep and get a good nights rest |

Everyone here has great ideas, and they all should work. I get like that too though, and I have resorted to sleep aides like Alluna, and stuff that is non habit forming. I will take it for like a week or so, and try to get my body in the habit of going to sleep at a descent hour. You can also try drinking hot cocoa with warmed milk. Its really yummy! |

i saw a program (on PBS i think) about this and the program said that pre teens and teens are usually the ones that need the most sleep, yet they dont get enough , and its because of growth hormones , this program(i wish i could recall the name) said that a teens growth hormones dont "kick in" until about midnight and that sleepiness doesnt begin until after that ... here are a couple of links that might help you ..http://www.sleepfoundation.org/PressArchives/seven.html>>

Don't hang out on your bed unless you're going to sleep (It trains your mind that when you're in bed then you're going to sleep) Don't do to much activity right before bed. Try doing breathing activities. If worse comes to worse take some benedryll :P |

I have that problem sometimes too and believe me, it really sucks. I work early in the morning and I'm always so tired. I always try to go to bed early. Don't drink or eat any sweet. You could try taking some sleep medican. That helps sometimes. Try not to stay up as late. |
