I will pray..............*StarrWolf*

The sun fades
The sky turns gray
But I'm still here, and will hope and pray
That you make it back
Clouds begin to pour
Sapphire blue rain drops, there is nothing more
But the grieving of innocent people
I will still pray for you
Lightning strikes, turning raindrops black
But I will still pray for you
The wind begins to blow
Guns fire loudly
People fall to the ground
And they do it so proudly
Fighting for their rights, and dying for their country
I'm still praying for you
The guns continue to fire
And more people begin to fall
But I'm still praying for you
The night is over, and morning comes
As millions of people lay dead on the ground
The battle is over
And you're still here
I guess it's just a game of luck
because nobody wins a real war

Date: 1/3/2003 2:38:00 AM  From Authorid: 61968    That is so true. I am a soldier, and I can relate to that, the needless violence of war is an act of selfishism on the behalf of people that we will never meet. This was a good poem, and its nice to know that somewhere out there, someone still takes a second or two to remember....Shadow Tiger
