Hi everyone! Hope you all had an enjoyable holiday!

Ok, heres my problem. I know in the state I live in fireworks are illegal but that doesn't mean squat to some people, lol. Well anyways, with all the fireworks going off last night, my little chihuahua is now VERY scared to even go outside and is very timid. Hes not like this normally and im not sure what to do to get him back to his "normal self". This was his first new years thus being his first time experiencing fireworks.

Can anyone help me out? Any tips or advice? And what can I do for the next new years so he doesnt get like this again?

Date: 1/4/2003 6:24:00 AM  From Authorid: 61968    Sometimes as pet owners we have to do things that we dont like. I had a dog that was in a similar situation, except I lived on a military base and thier is spuratic noise all the time. I just bit my pride and put the dog outside when he didnt want to. Sometimes when the noise isnt going or when it is. Eventually he got used to it. It may not work for all animals, but it worked for my dog...Shadow Tiger
