If I sang another song, and asked you to sing along
Would you just cover my mouth and tell me it was wrong?
And if I laughed at everything, jump, dance, and sing
Would you just roll your eyes or would you kiss me goodnight?
And if you said something and I cried
Would you get embarrased and hide or would you wipe my tears and stay by my side?

And if I decided to get a tattoo, not that I ever would, it's true
Would you look at me with a new disgust or would you find it "kind of cute"?
And if I only had 50 cents to my name, would you think I was insane?
Or would you clasp on my hand and treat me the same?
And what if I went totally blind, lost my vision, lost my mind.
Would you push me away and cough or treat me just as kind.

And if I never wanted anything to change
Would you think that was "totally lame"?
And if all I wanted from you was a night under the stars
Would you think I was dumb and go out to a bar?
And if I didn't change at all, I stayed short and you stayed tall
Would everything be happy, or would we fall?
