BEAST WARS TRANSFORMERS "Call Of The Wild"

Near the Maximal base, a cheetah chases down its prey in the jungle. As it chases its meal, the ground falls out from under it, leading into a large lava pit. As it falls toward the smoltering lava,...Cheetor wakes up, breathing heavily, shaking off the dream.

The Axalon is under attack. Cheetor scrambles out of his bunk to find the other Maximals preparing for battle and the Sentinel defense grid is down. While Rhinox and Rattrap fight to get the defense systems working, Dinobot grabs Cheetor and the two head outside to take on the Predacons face to face.

The attack is fierce but the true purpose of the Predacons attack is soon revealed. Waspinator and Terrorsaur both breach the hull of the Axalon and steal a device that makes the inside of the ship free of energon disruptions.

Airazor returns to base from patroling the air as the Predacons retreat. She attacks them from the front while Optimus Primal is behind them, firing away. Optimus is blasted by Megatron however and begins to fall. Airazor goes after him, but is also hit by a shot from Terrorsaur. She manages to stop Optimus from crashing, but she is severely damaged and collapses. The Predacon fliers manage to escape unscathed.

The device the Predacons stole allowed the Maximals to constantly remain in robot modes inside their ship without energon interference. However, now that it has been stolen, they must remain in beast mode to not allow them to be overcome with energon disruption.

As Airazor remains in the repair chamber, the Maximals are finding that having to remain in beast mode is very frustrating, not being able to do the things they would normally do in robot mode. Rattrap complains about his rat mode not being tall aenough to not be able to reach the weapons controls to fend off continuous Predacon attacks. His continuous complaining begins to irritate Rhinox and Optimus, and the three begin to get into a heated argument. Suddenly, Rhinox stops the argument, realizing that their animal instints are slowly beginning to take over them. Optimus remebers Tigatron had once dealt with just such a situation and Rhinox contacts the loner and asks for his help.

Time passes and the beast instincts of the Maximals completely take over. Now acting as predators and prey, Dinobot chases after a wary Rattrap while Cheetor stalks through the ship for any possible prey, and Optimus wanders through the corridors, curious of his surroundings. Eventually, they leave the Axalon, running aimlessly into the jungle nearby. Megatron's plan is working and he leads the Predacons on a hunt in the jungle to destroy the Maximals.

Tigatron reaches the Axalon and Airazor comes out of the repair chamber, back in working condition. From the earlier transmission from Rhinox, Tigatron figures out what has happened and where the other Maximals most likely are, and heads off into the jungle to help his comrades along with Airazor.

With the Maximals all wandering the jungle, the Predacons attack them, sending them into hiding. Eventually, Tigatron confronts the Maximals one by one, gathering them together. He helps them to understand that they can become one with their beast forms in order to improve themselves. They do so and robot and animal become one as the Maximals regain control over their logic circuits.

Using their animal modes to their advantage, the Maximals attack the Predacons in retaliation. Rattrap manages to use his beast mode to get under Terrorsaur and behind him, blasting away at him. Optimus swings from a vine to tackle Megatron while Rhinox uses his strength to knock out the oncoming fliers.

Airazor meanwhile has managed to infiltrate the Predacon base and regain the stolen piece of Maximal equipment, of which, afterwards, they reinstall back into the Axalon. Things seem back to normal, but Optimus feels that, with the "merged" consciousness of both beast and robot modes, they may be better than ever before.
