i've never had a cat before, but it doesn't sound too good. Is your cat acting strangely in any way?? More sleepy than usual?? If shes acting at all differently i think she needs to go to a vet. How long will the vet clinic be closed for?? metal princess |

well as long as she's acting fine, i'm sure she'll be ok until the vets re-open. then you can go get it checked out by professionals! *hugs* i hope your cats ok! merry christmas metal princess |

Ok first off did it start out as a cut? Since you said it's hot that means a fever is present...sounds like a infection has set up.....my cat had something like that happen....it was a knot that felt hard and it was hot to the touch. But it had a small cut near it.....well I got to looking at it and decided to open the cut and drain it....it was nasty and had a bad odor to it....once doing so I put hydrogen peroxide in it and did that a few times over a few days time and it slowly got smaller and went away....I would not recommend doing that unless there is a cut. Best bet would be since she isn't acting funny is to wait for a vet visit.. |

Well then it's probably best to wait for a vet visit.. |

I agree with Grey Eye, you'll just have to wait until you can see the vet. See the vet as soon as you can. I hope things get better. |
