Date: 12/21/2002 6:25:00 AM From Authorid: 22852 I used to live in NY but now live in NC. I go to NY every summer to visit family and after 2 days can't wait to leave and get back home..LOL. NY is crowded and very noisy not to mention the litter. It is also very expensive to visit NY. A good thing to do id to take the Circle Line (boat) around Manhattan and see all the sites. Museum of Natural History is wonderful also. Spring and Fall are the best times to visit, in the summer it feels so hot one can hardly breath. I hope you make it to NY as it can be great fun. |

He,he,he...Ex New Yourker here... ..I now dwell in the peacefull land of New Jersey. I couldnt deal with the dirty subways , the bums ,the drugs , the noise , the lack of humanity. Theres an expression in New York That says "If you drop on the sidewalk , people will pass around you , for fear of being sued , if they decide to help you". Hey...just my experience. |

Date: 12/21/2002 8:12:00 AM From Authorid: 27046 I live in upstate new york so Ny is NOT all dirty, the city maybe, but the rest of the state is gorgeous. AND if you drop on the street elsewhere we won't walk over you...LOL. The adirondacks are gorgeous. There are several gorgeous lakes to spend on time on, Lake Champlain, Scroon Lake, Sacandaga (sp), Ny State also has many, many haunted places. We have cemeteries that are listed in the top ten of scariest places in the world. Lake George itself has camping, boat tours, water parks, fun parks, shopping, you name it, the village of Lake George has it. Go further north and you have Lake Champlain and a lot of places that have information on Champ, Lake Champlains "lockness monster" which has been featured on the unsolvedmysteries tv show......You should be able to go to the state site and it will give you all the tour information for the whole state, not just for the city.... |

We are stricken to "They have to be mean they are from NY." Well yeah I am the, the state not the city...DUH!...LOL! |
