I made this last night and it was a hit. :) I didn't know how to make a meatloaf so I started pouring things in...

One thing... This doesn't require exact amounts, it is more a kind of thing that you look at and decide if you have enough...

Meat-- Ground Round, or anything with three names to it. I use Lean Ground Round, Ground Round (something, can't remember the name, I know it when I see it)

Half a bottle of Coors Light. (Pour the beer into the meat to mix)

Half a stalk of celery, (chopped finely)

Can of Mushrooms (Stems anD Pieces)

Barbeque SauCe, (that your ketshup replacement)

Onion Salt (sprinkle)

Garlic Salt (sprinkle)

Italian Bread Crumbs

Parmesean Cheese (Grated, the kind you put on Pizza)

Bacon Bits

Everything is mixed together into a loaf. The only thing you fry before putting with the mix is the celery and mushrooms (fry those with either Pam or Grease) be careful though, I smoked up the house because I had it on High. Put it on Med High.

And then mix it all together, add Bbq sauce on top and then Parmesean (after mixing and putting into the pan.)

You have to preheat your oven to 350 degrees, leave it in for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

I cooked it last night, it was a hit with some Piiiiiicky eaters. It's fun to make too. :D

Date: 12/3/2002 10:40:00 AM  From Authorid: 53689    Hey MonkeyLuvr! I haven't seen you in a while! How is your mom? I need to email her. Oh, about the meatloaf, it sounds wonderful. I make one with a few less ingredients but I do use the beer. It really makes it better.
Date: 12/3/2002 10:43:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30743    Hey TG, I just haven't had time to get on. Now that I'm sick, I'm not doing nothing, so I'm on. My mom is well... LOL, she's busy planning the wedding...
Date: 12/3/2002 10:50:00 AM  From Authorid: 3688    hmmmmmmmmm i might actually eat meatloaf if it's cooked like this
Date: 12/3/2002 10:54:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30743    LOL Dreamer, I had some very picky people over for dinner, lol. One was like, if it ain't how my Mamma cooks it, I don't like it... LOL, she ate every bite. I HATE meatloaf, but I thought it was good. The bbq sauce is better than Ketshup, according to me. So I liked it. It's my own thrown together recipe, too.. . I'll have to try and make you one one of these days...
Date: 12/3/2002 10:57:00 AM  From Authorid: 53836    sounds good, I have a few more ingredients in mine, but I tell you, for the reputation that meatloaf normally has, you wouldn't know it at my house...Thanks for sharing, I've bookmarked to try...the bacon bics and parm cheese aren't anything I've considered in the past
Date: 12/3/2002 10:57:00 AM  From Authorid: 3538    You sure can cook, MokeyLuvr!!I am so bad at cooking, yesterday I burned bran muffins and the oven started to smoke. This sounds great, this recipe, I would need to buy the beer, though. Does a can beer of Budweiser still work?Bookmarking!
Date: 12/3/2002 11:01:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30743    Hey Justice G... lol, I am the one who smoked the whole house yesterday.. LOL, for me, I'm just going as I go, and if I do good, I copy the recipe down for future use. I have had a few disasters, lol. Budwieser should work, if I had had it, I would have used it, but all I had in my fridge was Corona and Coors Light, and I hate Corona, so.... LOL. Actually experimentation is kind of fun.. Don't worry about it, I have burned MANY muffins... LOL
Date: 12/3/2002 11:03:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30743    Hey Space Case, same here. The people here all looked at me like I was loopy when I said I was cooking Meat Loaf. But you know what, every bit of it was gone within an hour. LOL. I use to couldn't stand meat loaf, but I kinda liked what I cooked last night, thinking about doing it again in a couple weeks. What do you put in yours, for reference, lol.
