FREE MUSIC!!!

I was just curious as to how people feel about music sharing. Most artists that are against it don't seem to be going broke, do they? I guess this came to mind while I was watching MTV and I saw J.Lo's new video for "jenny from the block." It had little pop ups that showed how much certain articles of clothing that she was wearing cost. I bet her wardrobe for that video totalled at somewhere above 3 million dollars. In one shot she had a ring on that cost $1,100,000.00. A little ring. Okay, so performers make a lot of money. WHY?? I mean sure we love their music (some of it anyway) and some people still do buy CD's (poor suckers :) ). But why are people in this profession paid so much? Doesn't it make more sense that teachers, and nurses, and firemen, and such should be making the big bucks? It's just frustrating sometimes. I'm saying that people in the entertainment business should do their job because they love it, and stop whining about their music being spread freely. And frankly it just made me sick to see some of her items of aparrel in that video. Some stinkin little hat she was wearing cost 300.00 and a pair of pants for over 400.00. I thought that the GAP was expensive!! I guess another thing I don't understand is why people waste money on such highly priced "things". The wealth CAN be shared. Personally I wish someone would share it with me. I know that if I ever win the lottery, I won't be blowing it all on a stupid ring.

Date: 11/28/2002 9:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 1799    i for one love it...i'm a musician myself, and hope to have a CD out, and i would be so touched to find my songs on a place where people can download them..it'd be the best thing to me.

I wish you the best of luck! I'm sure you're doing it cuz you love it and not just so you can go buy a $500.00 tank top LOL
Date: 11/28/2002 9:21:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 14752    Hey, Sandghost, that is cool that she makes her own clothes. That shows even more creative talent than just singing.
Date: 11/28/2002 9:22:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 14752    I guess maybe I'd like to rag on J.Lo a little tho, cuz it seems that she tries to act so down to earth, but I read that she had a guy hired to repair her roof or something like that and that he was not allowed to look her in the eye. He had to look at her feet when he talked to her, so he quit.
Date: 11/28/2002 9:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 13969    Yeah...i would quit too! And look at that song, jenny from the block...yeah right. it all went to her head...
Date: 11/28/2002 9:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 1799    my music is entirely because of my passion for it..there u r correct..i write my own songs, my own lyrics, my own music...so, yeah... and for me, unlike so many, the money doesn't matter. I just want to be acknowledged for the wonderful talent that Athena gave to me.

Date: 11/29/2002 5:33:00 AM  From Authorid: 26452    But then. they can still count on people with no computers, and people like me who just do NOT havr the patience to sit around waiting for a song to download..
Date: 10/13/2006 8:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 16376    I like free music, but than again I like free everything.
