(Peter waits outside the gate a triket in one had for Stacey and the roses in his other for Denise. The excitment in his face is too much to hide)
Flight Attendant: Delta Airlines is happy to announce flight 971 from Boston
(A smile streches across Peter's face as one by one passengers Depart, but no Denise. Day turns to night & Peter still sits there waiting)
Rick: You gonna be Ok?
Peter:....
Rick: We should head back
Peter: Go i'll walk
Rick: Peter it's atleast 40 miles
Peter:...
Rick: Atleast call I'll send a car?
Peter: OK
(rick stands up and gives Peter a quick hug before leaving. Peter sits in the airport until Security asks him to leave. He walks outside and Rick's parked infront)
Rick: Hungry?
Peter: Not really
Rick: Yes you are, come on, get some coffee in ya, caffine will do you good
(Peter gets in and the two drive in silence to a small coffe shop where they sit off to the side)
Rick: I know we aren't really friends, I'm not really sure if I have any friends to tell you the trueth. That's the real reason i wanted to go to the airport with you. I have never seen anyone love someone the way you love her. And I won't say I know what you going through cause that would be a lie, but if you ever need to get it out, I'm... I'm here for you.
Peter: It's over Rick
Rick: What's over Peter?
Peter: The dream, the dream is over
Rick: I figured as much, But I'm not here as your manager right now, I'm here as a person who sees you're hurting and knows why and offing my friendship in your time of pain. In the past I pushed you, I know, and I know in ways I'm to blame for all this. Peter I did it because you have something no other act I've ever seen, that's what i see when i look across the table at you. I see it, the fans see it, and if you would let her she would see it too. I understand if you want to walk away, hell I'll even fight for you with the lawyers, but know if you walk away right now every person who's listened to you, everyone who has this dream.. and i'm not talking about the fame, the money, the groupies, it's the love I see now it's always been about her. But now you gotta do it for them and above all you.
Peter: The two show are the only ones slated right nwo right?
Rick: There are folling shows but no tickets have been sold
Peter: I do those two then I decide from there. Deal
Rick: What ever you choose I'll support you
Peter: And Rick i'm gonna go it alone
Rick: You don't want the studio band?
