Here I sit
The cold night
Wrapping its arms around me
The snowflakes falling
Swirling around me
Dressing me in their ice
Fear engulfing me
Encouraging me, tell me
Run
I want to run
To feel the wind blow away my cares
To do the same thing I've always done
But I want to stay
Curiosity whispers in my ear
Daring me to take that chance
I want to be free
Confusion strangling me
Killing my thought
So I come to the moon
Pure, sweet, kind All knowing moon
Tell me your answer
Tell me what you know
Wise, all knowing moon
The moon is silent
Anger takes me
Why won't it answer
Tell me moon!
You answer the stars your brothers, and the wolf your child
But you remain silent to me!
The moon never answers
It smiles back
With its all knowing glow
Tell me moon!
Tell me what to do
With your rays of knowledge
The moon remains silent
Not a whisper
The cold bites at me
I go now
Away from the mocking moon
Rejection at my heals
Now I know the answer
And I am not afraid, nor do I blame the moon
For it knew I had to find the answer by myself
I know the moons true wisdom
And it mocks me no more
It knows that sometimes silence is the best answer
