once, i was watchin da History channel on the Roman Empire and it said that Constantine, an emperor who was very strong, intelligent, n good-looking, was in da middle of a battle when a bridge that his men were fighting on collapsed and they drowned. then, a bright lite or sumthing came in the sky and two greek letters showed up and they were letters meaning Jesus. then he heard a voice that said to print these letters on all the armor of his men and he will win every battle.

Date: 11/24/2002 3:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 51173    That IS the legend. Constantine was the first Roman ruler to do away with empiror worship, in favor of Christianity. Peace, Tom
Date: 11/27/2002 7:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 15070    Constantine has been embraced by the Catholic church as the one who brought Christianity to the "Pagan" land(s). "In this sign", was the justification for the slaughter of those who did not embrace the new faith.
