Dreaming of a time lost,
I sit alone cold and unaware,
That I have been forgotten.
That I keep wishing on a star thats no longer there.
An angel I believed I did find,
Someone to mend my broken heart.
Forever though it shall remain shattered,
For you put it back together, only to once again rip it apart.
Vibrantly the world lit up,
With every precious thought of you.
Every word you ever said,
I so prayed for them to be true.
I took a chance on you,
For that is what you asked of me.
You gave me wings, only to clip them again.
You caged me after setting me free.
Dreaming of something that never was,
I now sit cold and aware,
That I believed in something,
That was never really there.
