Well, this is Gryffindor Seeker here. Saw the new Harry Potter movie earlier today and I just have to say one thing....

WONDERFUL!

This film is much better than the first film. The special effects have been improved. The film is much darker and scarier and at the same time more humorous. All HP fans will greatly enjoy this film.

For all those who have seen the film, let's discuss it here!

Date: 11/15/2002 5:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 23610    I love the Harry Potter stories. I can't wait to see this movie. Sadly, though, I'll probably have to wait until it comes out on video because my son loves Harry Potter (he's only 2 1/2). I think I've seen the first one at least 25 times already because my son keeps asking to watch the video. LOL. I don't mind though because it is such a good movie and I love to watch him get all excited when he watches it. He really loves the Quidditch games and he cheers for Potter everytime he watches it. LOL. I heard somewhere else that the second movie was even better than the first....I'm glad to hear a second review saying the same. By the way....my son and I were in a store the other day and they had this really big Santa figure there....it was kind of a victorian looking Santa. I pointed to it and asked my son, "Who is that!". Expecting him to shout out "Santa!". But instead he said, "Hagrid!" LMAO!

Date: 11/16/2002 7:21:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 47618    It's 5 times better than HP 1 and a lot more fun. But the scenes with Aragog and the Basilisk at the end are very creepy and violent. The voice of the Basilisk was also creepy - "I SMELL BLOOD! MUST KILL!" Scary! LOL
Date: 11/16/2002 12:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 51979    I saw it opening night yesterday, it was...with fear of an understaement................AWESOME. All I really have against it is this: It is made to be out for 5-13 year olds. I mean, it is not only for them, heck I am 15, but it is almost 3 hours long, kids can't sit through that without getting bored. I saw countless people walk out because it was too frighitng. It was much too scary for the little ones. Granted I mean, it was a horror film, but for 5 to even 10 year olds, much to scary. And too much blood. That was terrible for little children. I loved it, shoudla been pg-13 or shoulda cut out all that blood.
Date: 11/16/2002 12:51:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 47618    LOL - it was violent for a live action kid's film. I enjoyed the scene in the Chamber with the basilisk - that was one mean fella!
