Something to think about. -eddo

I have missed most of what has happened over the past weekend, with hackers, multiple alias's, and all the anger and hurt that has been caused, but I have something that has been tugging at me this afternoon, and I just want to know if anyone else has considered this:

Now, I have very deliberatly stayed from most of the posts concerning this person with supposedly many different accounts, (as I missed the whole thing from the start) but I can tell from all the posts that have followed that many feelings are hurt, and more feelings are getting hurt as we go on, seemingly from lack of action by admins. Please understand I have never talked to the accused poster, and I am trying not to take either side of this issue.

We also know that there is a hacker in our midst. Hacking into accounts and causing all kinds of concerns, and also getting USM'ers in an uproar.

My thought is this: Are we really sure that the person that posted the offending orginal post and other comments and under other alias's was the accused? Could this have been the hacker, calmly causing an uproar in a site that they are obviously upset with and trying to take down? If so, they have succeeded in causing a ton of problems in a site that they apparently don't like.

This may not be the case, and maybe this has already been explored, and maybe I am way off base here, but I was thinking that I do not know the whole story, nor do I need to, but I am rather content in knowing that George and Ginger are doing everything they can to get to the bottom of this and protect the site that they have put so much work into.

Just thought I'd throw my two cents in. Anyone got change for a dollar?
