Hello and straight to the subject so I will not waste time.
I am a mother who is very heartbroken. We live in a neighborhood filled with children. I have 1 daughter and she spends much time to herself. No apparent reason but she was always the one running to other houses for playtime.
only about 2 girls ever came to call on her and always wanted to play at their house. We have enough toys for 3 or more children. I always tried to supply with snacks and ice cream. They never wanted to have anything or much to do with me as a woman.
When, my child was only 3 and little girl her age and her older sister moved in across the street. Years have gone by and the little girl never seemed to warm up to my child. They would sometimes play together, but it always ended in mean and tricky little things to get rid of my child. There was hitting on my child and throwing her dolls, breaking her toys.
I would ask what happened and always a different story. The girls were very odd acting. Mom works fulltime and is the breadwinner of the family. Dad is home but is not around to see what the kids do.
This is the first year my child was excluded from her birthday party, while all the other girls around us were invited. My child did not want to go, because the other girl's sister picks on her and the other 12 year old.
My child is going to be 10 next month. The one who started the picking is gone now at 18 years of age! and it has continued and now the 13 year old. All this started as simple teasing and now it is turned into bullying.
They form a gang and when they see my child coming they bully. My child has always tried to be polite and speak to them.
I hope you can sense my despair. We should have never moved to this community in the first place, but we wanted a nice place to bring our child into this world and be happy. It has not been easy and is a torture for me.
What could be this 10 year old girl's problem? Is it jealousy. This has been going on. They are nice and sweet when adults are around. My child is always the one coming home upset.
Please help me understand this situation. Mom is the breadwinner, dad is a salesman that comes home early and leaves his girls unattended.
