A couple of years ago, I was at my grandma's for a 4th of July picnic. We had set up a volleyball net so that me, my two younger brothers and my cousin could play. Well, don't you know, it started pouring. So, we had to find some exciting indoor activities. My grandma's house is huge, and there's lots of closets and hiding places, so we decided to play hide and go seek. My grandma's bedroom is on the top floor, and she was having construction work done in there, tearing out part of the floor, so it was a little balcony above the family room. Well, they were almost finished with it, but there wasn't a railing, so she didn't want people going up there and falling over the edge. The way her floorplan is set up is that there's the steps up to her room, a little hallway and a door. Well, she had the door closed and the lights in the hallway turned off. I decided to stand in the corner at the top of the steps and figured no one would bother looking up there. Well, my little brother who was five at the time ran to the bottom of the steps, looked up and saw me. His mouth opened and he pointed his finger at me. I figured that he was going to tag me, but he just ran away to get my cousin. I knew I couldn't stay there or I would get caught, so I decided to walk down the steps and hide in the bathroom. I walked in the bathroom and walked into the shower. I pulled the curtain partly closed, enough to conceal me, but not all the way to be too obvious. I heard them come back upstairs and talk about me not being there.
After awhile they went back down. A few minutes later I heard someone walking up the steps again. I figured it was them, coming after me. The person walked in the bathroom, and I heard the door creak as it shut. I assumed it was them looking for me behind the door. So, I standing in the shower when I hear some, well, personal sounds. Someone was going to the bathroom while I was in there! I'm standing there, trying to hold my breath and I figured I'd just wait until they left, but all of the sudden the person said,"Is there someone in the shower?" I didn't answer for a few seconds, but then I said yah. She said,"Oh my god, just stay in there!" So, I had to stand in the shower feeling like a complete idiot. As it turns out, she left and went downstairs and told everyone about it. The worst part was it was some old great-aunt that I didn't even know that well.......
Another time, I was at my grandma's looking through this 1994 volume on the couch of Good Housekeeping that had probably been there on the couch since 1994. There was a recipe for some mint ice cream pie. It sounded pretty good, so went to the grocery store to get the ingredients. I stopped in the food coloring section to get some green food coloring. I picked up a big green bottle. I turned and asked my friend,"Do you think this will be enough?" I was turning back around when I dropped it. The lid popped off and green food coloring began spilling all over the floor. I did the obvious thing and kicked it under the shelf. Even under there, it kept spilling out green. So, I picked up another bottle, and began looking for the other ingredients.
Later, before we checked out, I went back to look at it, and I bent down and saw a HUGE green puddle under the shelf. Oops. I brought my grandma to see it and told her the story, and she couldn't stop laughing.....
These are just a few of my embarrassing moments. There are plently more where these came from. Plenty plenty more in fact. I have so many embarrassing moments that I stopped posting them on usm because people would think I was a loser (that is if they don't already) lol...So, I hope I made you laugh, and have a good day!
