the talent search

there is this talent search thing in NM. All these people keep telling me to sing at it. I really want to, but I dont know if i should. Parents and family-very supportive. Friends-convinced I'll win. me-asking myself, do i really want to do this? I've been wondering about this for a long time. I remember, when I was little, about 5 years old, I made a promise to myself that when I got the chance, I would enter a talent search. I've been singing since i was at least 3 1/2. I just don't know if I'm up to it. If i lose, will i be okay with it? If i win, and leave to california, how will i keep up with my school work? Will i win? Will i lose? I have all these questions, and a lot more. If anyone has any advice or has been in a talent search before, write to me, and I'll be forever grateful! Thanx! fire flyer

Date: 11/8/2002 10:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 20702    fire flyer, my daughter who has a wonderful talent had the chance that you now have. She did not do it, instead got married and now has a family. I know that deep down in her heart she wishes she would have a least done it once. So, what I am saying here is, don't let an oppertunity like this pass you by if this is something you would really like to do. Years down the road,if you don't do it, you will wish you had. Good luck.......Peace......Angelreader

Date: 11/9/2002 1:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 54808    Hey... i would go for it... i mean think about it: 1) if you went and won wouldn't you feel amazing? 2) what if you didn't go and you felt like you could win? wouldn't you regret it later on? If you go, at least you can tell yourself that you tried. Good Luck.

Date: 11/11/2002 7:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 49374    What do you have to lose? Singing is expression of yourself through music and words, and if you ask me, go for it! To practice on your voice is one thing, but to perform in front of an audience is another. For practicing and getting your voice so well, you need to put it to the test at performances, and this is a great chance for you! Yeah, you might not win, who cares? Music is a special type of language that is universally accepted, and I really think you should go through with it. Good luck!
Date: 11/11/2002 7:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 49374    Hi, me again. Sorry, I didn't authenticate my reply. (I know you should because I get great joy in performing my musical talent of piano playing in front of audiences; it gives me great joy, and I know singing can do the same for you! :-D) ~whatdidisay22
