Lucent Technologies Inc.'s Bell Labs, the storied research lab that invented the transistor in 1947, announced the development of a tiny new transistor made of a simple cluster of organic molecules.
Comprising molecules of carbon, hydrogen and sulfur, the transistor provides yet another positive sign that extraordinary leaps in computing power can be expected beyond the next decade.
If you remember , bell labs , was the "birth place" of the transistor , amazing enough , the only civilian contractor working for the military at....yes...ROSWELL , New Mexico. The date also...very interesting...1947 , just after the crash. Well...you decide!
