Teenagers... Teens too long??...............midnightly

Teenagers seem to get blamed for alot of problems and they are very different from what they were 50 years ago... and it got me thinking.... the term teenager has sprouted very recent...it usually mean "a juvenile between the onset of puberty and maturity"(quoting dictionary.com) the only difference i can see lately is teenagers are.. teenagers for too long... they start it earlier and early now and by the time they finish they are still in high school and they are still treated like teenagers even when they could be considered an adult(for example 40-50 years ago if you were 17 you were an adult now if your 18-19 your still considered a teenager and don't get treated like an adult) I think the reason why teenagers act like teenagers is that when they mature enough to be treated like adults people don't see that and don't treat them like adults...

Childhood has shortened and "teenager" has lengthened in time... and i think that is where alot of issues come up... what do you think??
