That is their job. They are supposed to be prepared for disasters. When there are earthquakes and floods, FEMA is there. If there is a manmade disaster, why shouldn't we be prepared as well??  |

Lest you think I am being predsumptious, this is the same FEMA who according to an emergency worker on CBS (who was quickly silenced) dispatched his team to the WTC on Monday, September 10, 2001 at 10:30pm.  |

You Guys tell me! How can this program protect the People? Example..., Lets say Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex is going to be Attacked. Wouldn't they have to know far enough in advance "Before the Attack" to evacuate? How could they know enough in advance to do so? Do you know how long it would take to evacuate thousands and thousands of people? Now.., lets say that they just Heard us all off in Trains and buses before hand, just "IN CASE" the city is attacked! Don't you know that there would be SLEEPER terrorist in those citys that could tell others of the Evacuation, and the place where everybody is going! So, How could leaving before hand protect us? Don't you think the Attack then would be on the Temporary Cities? Then..., think about this! If the Metropolis is attacked with the spread of Diseases, How could we move to Temporary cities without carrying the Diseases with us, Infecting the Tents and Trailers? Tell me now, JUST how can this be to our Good and so called "PROTECTION"?? Tell me somebody please. |

Sweetie, this has been known for a while. I tried to post it last year, and it was deleted. It's scary, cause it almost seems like they've given up hope that we would not be attacked, by God only knows who, and soon. It seems our whole domestic and foreign policy is based on a bunch of what-ifs. Amazing, that these policies are being put together and supported by so called Christians. Where is their faith in GOD?  |

IMHO, God does protect those who TRUST in him, and it is highly hypocritical, in my view, to trust in might and war machines and FEMA to protect us. It isn't anything more than a pretext to set the stage for round ups of the population for so called disasters, namely bio terrorism. I just don't buy it. |

FEMA officials have told these firms they already have tents and trailers ordered. The tents and trailers would provide shelter for displaced populations. Right, there called concentration camps, been telling people about fema and these camps for YEARS NOW, no one beleives me.  |

I've re-read my comment, and I'd like to clear it up so that it doesn't come across as arrogant. When you are atheistic, your life consists of material things. When you are Pagan, your life revolves around "Mother Earth." When both are crushed in fulfillment of the Bible, there is nothing to hang onto but God. That is why non-believers would rather look away. The though of the earth or it's luxuries being taken away is almost too much to handle. |

Hey guys, glad to see some real discussion taking place. Being prepared - yes, but spiritual preparedness is the most important thing. Disasters are coming in the form of God's Wrath - and as the Bible says - who can stand? We are all sinners, worthy of death, and only God's tender mercies will save any of us from the plans of Lucifer and his henchmen. I love you all and wish you peace and joy and happiness. TRUST IN GOD, for by his arm will we survive. And pray for the afflicted of the world, that they might partake of the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ who died that we might be forgiven of the sins whose wages are death. Amen Freegirl! About the Inspiration I mean. Being prepared Spiritualy is the "MOST" important way to be prepared. Then our Hope is in Him fully!For our Protection. We then know, Even if our body dies, (as all men are appointed to do) Our Souls will recieve a New Body. For Jesus will Resurrect us one. He too has the power to protect us in the storms of fire, as he Protected Shadrac, Meshack, and Abindigo in the Firey Furnace. To Him, I look to for all things. Glory be his name! |

Hi FreeGirl, NZ was indeed 'dis-armed' in a way, with new FireArms Laws that prohibited 'Military Styled Semi Automatics', basically anything looking 'military', with say a pistol grip instead of a stock, curved magazines, any mag holding more than say 15 shells etc etc was effectively banned. Other FireArms such as pistols and anything remotely automatic have pretty much always been under restriction, requiring some heavy duty licensing and precautions to own them. Of course this is not always the case...as you can imagine...some people have had their eyes wide open for some time and things arent always registered  Besides...if anything was to happen here in NZ, most people would do what I would do...just disappear into the bush. And I'd pity any foriegn (or domestic) Force that attempted to eradicate those who retreated into the bush...for I'd put my money on a skilled hunter with a high-powered scoped hunting rifle any day of the week. High Tech armaments can only get you so far...familiarity with the environment and skill in tracking/disappearing/remaining hidden, striking and disappearing again has been the downfall of a number of 'better armed' invaders around the world. I hestitate to reply as a panthiestic calvanist but what they hey... This is extremely scary if it is true but you did say you got it in an email and we know how reliable some of that information is. However, I do plan to do some research on the net as I'm not discounting what you say - I just like to read up on it myself and form my own opinions accordingly. I have heard FB talk about the concentration camps and I want to read more about them as well. I don't believe this is the second coming myself as Jesus' own disciples thought he'd return in their lifetime. I honestly believe it won't happen for many years to come. It would be hard for my to categorize or quanity my belief system but as I don't wholely consider myself a Christian - if I were to quantify myself I would have to call myself a Pagan as the definition states anyone who is not a Muslim, Christian, or Jew. I don't worship mother nature but I do believe that it is the greatest manifestation of the God force or that energy / life which is God. God said "I am" and that is the most profound clue to what God is and I am amazed that so many people don't give it more creedence. However, I'll get off my rant and quit trying to explain my beliefs as it doesn't matter - it's a tangent and really has no place on your post. The greatest matter is that this coupled with the new patriot act is extremely scary. Big Government is scary - that is why we should all research the libertarian party  Thanks for sharing this Haadam, I was unaware of it. May I please remind you, "WHERE", (in my attempt to help in my "OWN" often inadequate way) did you Read the Words "I AM THAT I AM"? Was it Exodus 3:14? Please try and remember this. Good point about the Taliban...though hiding in the desert is a lot more difficult that hiding in dense bush like we have here in NZ...I'm reminded of Viet Nam actually. Yes, Super Govts have a lot of power...but sometimes I think we too ready get disheartened and dismiss the power of the individual. Peace, |

AS, I agree, and Haadam, the Taliban will probably be revived. In the last election in Afghanistan, the Pashtuns, the ethnic group the Taliban originated from, won overwhelmingly. The fundamental movement of the Islamic religion has not disappeared, by any means. I agree that the government's might is great, but a lot of what we are witnessing in the news is posturing and propaganda, and they can't be everywhere, all the time, and in time, people who are fighting for them, will go against them. We must believe that evil and the men who perpetrate such actions can be defeated with love and common sense. AS, you're right - the bush or the woods hold defenses. |
