There is a little boy running around the world demanding that everyone try to knock a battery off his shoulder. The problem is he is the President of the United States. |
Date: 11/7/2002 10:26:00 PM From Authorid: 52489 Actually, by pronouncing the word incorrectly, George W. Bush is honoring the tradition of President Eisenhower, who also said it that way. In this way, "W" can cozy up to old-line GOP bureaucrats, who long for the "Good Old Days". |

While we all sit back in our comfortable easy chairs, with our remote controls at the ready as we anticipate another television war, we would do well to remember what war really is. It is not a computer game or a video game, designed to sharpen your Dead-Eye-Dick shooting skills. It is not a blood-and-guts Hollywood movie with stuntmen and fake blood smears. War is real, with real screaming and real blood and real dead bodies. |

We already have over 120,000 troops stationed in the Middle East along with hundreds of warplanes. Our ships are poised at the Gulf of Oman, ready to protect "our" carrier and destroyer lanes into the Persian Gulf. This has taken a great deal of time and planning. The UN ruse, which is all it is, fools very few. |
Date: 11/7/2002 10:41:00 PM From Authorid: 56990 I dont want a WAR to start....but when such *unqualified* ppl are in control well thats what happens.Did u see how much Bush and Blair wanted to bomb Iraq, and they didnt even have a reason for that! All thier reasons were proven faulty.Btw I live there in the Arabian Gulf. |

The religious terrorists keep on bombing, and religious and non-religious people keep on dying. It has always been so. The massacres described in the Bible's Old Testament are no different from 9/11 except for the fact the modern age killers have GPS, cell phones, infra-red imaging, the Internet with e-mail, jumbo jets, nerve gas and so on. But religious killings are still religious killings, and through it all everyone keeps thanking God for his endless mercy. This is insane. There is nothing wrong with memorial services and mourning our dead. We would be cold-hearted indeed if we did not. But we must learn to remember people as they were, grieve over their loss and try to find a better way to live on this planet so as to prevent any further violence. We are copping out, Big Time, by throwing all our problems up at an empty sky, hoping some invisible spirit will put things right. It ain't gonna happen. We are our only salvation, and until we learn how to live with each other, without religions and the divisiveness they cause (i.e. Jews vs. Muslims) we will see more 9/11 events and hear even more screams of the suffering. |

Date: 11/7/2002 11:18:00 PM From Authorid: 56990 I agree with Shadow Ghost We should settle on a middle point and stop the fights. |
Date: 11/8/2002 6:46:00 AM From Authorid: 49150 George has no interest in settling anything. He wants war in the worst way. He must know the majority of Americans are against it. I never dreamed his motivation could be money. Oh well, know he has his republican government and can do pretty much, what ever he wants.......... Feeling helpless. |
Date: 11/8/2002 7:03:00 AM From Authorid: 22852 My hair is standing on end now after watching his speech yesterday. He just came short of saying we are about to attack, we are now ready so you better duck. This whole thing has me sick. |

Date: 11/8/2002 4:09:00 PM From Authorid: 10146 Well, Why in the world did the Americans Vote More of His Political Party into Public Offices then. Don't they all know, this only gives him more POWER! |
Date: 11/8/2002 4:27:00 PM From Authorid: 46266 Shadow Ghost, imagine if there was no water - nobody could drown! What a lovely world to be in - a world without aquatic tragedy. What a paradise! Only one catch - water is life-sustaining. It's the same way with God. He is as real as the water, yet unfortunately various beliefs in Him cause people to kill and die. You imagine a world without God. What a paradise, you think. Only one catch. God is the life-giver. |

Date: 11/12/2002 9:00:00 AM From Authorid: 54987 Well every war up to now has helped the economy. It doesn't surprise me that the Bush Administration is made up of arms trade people. We have no control over anything... not even our vote. Dead people can still vote. Soon it will be your pet. It's a huge game didn't you know that. A worldwide Monopoly game. |
