*This is the chapter that Sage has been waiting for!! Get ready Sage... this is all you, dude!*
GORILLAZ UPRISING: A NEW ROMANCE
"Aww, how sweet!" Sage said, picking up the rose from her table. It had a card next to it, her name printed neatly. She opened the envelope, flopping onto the couch in her room, which was in Kong Studios. The card read:
Sage... been thinking of you. Meet me at the new restaurant in town at 3:00. I want to talk with you. Love, 2-D
Sage stared. Then she grinned and jumped into the air, clutching the rose in her fingers. She felt a thorn poke her skin and she stopped a moment, picking it off. Then she jumped for joy again, squealing and giggling. "2-D said 'Love'! Yeah! No more Paula the Crawler for him! He's got ME!" she exclaimed happily. Then she stopped and realized that she had a lot of things to do...preparing herself. She knew that it would take hours for choosing her makeup, clothing, shoes, and styling her hair. "Got a looot to do..." she mumbled, walking to her closet.
"She got my letter! She got it!" 2-D exclaimed to himself, jumping around in his room. He kneeled to the Buddha statue and uttered a silent prayer of thanks before continuing his joyous giggling. He liked her and thought about her more and more since that day when she wrote that song. She claimed it was his song, but he dismissed it as her trying to give him credit. He went to his closet and threw on some jeans and a T shirt. He looked at himself in a full-body mirror and criticized himself. He was too thin, but he shrugged away that thought and continued to be nervous about his date. He gasped and looked at himself in the mirror. "You have a date," he whispered, pointing at his grinning reflection. "YOU, my friend, YOU have a date! You're the luckiest man alive! I wish I were you," he said, laughing at himself. "What's that?" he asked, cupping his ear to his reflection. "Oh, yeah, I AM you!" he exclaimed, grinning attractively at himself and turning around. he couldn't wait.
"Ohhh what to wear? What to wear?" Sage stressed, already half her clothes strewn across her bed and floor. She then decided to keep it casual. "It's just 2-D. He never dresses up." she said calmly. She picked out a cute pair of jeans and her favorite tank top. She used light lipstick and eye makeup. She glanced at the clock and gasped. "Time to go!" she said to herself, grabbing her purse. She left her room happily, ready to see that wonderful guy with black eyes.
**HAHAHAA! I'm leaving ya hanging for more. Suspense is good. Very good. I like it on toast. Sorry, Sage. Sage doesn't like Suspense on toast, I take it.**
